Greystone Castle has been an Orvis-endorsed hunting lodge for well over 20 years. In 2011, Greystone Castle was awarded its first Orvis Wingshooting Lodge of the Year award, followed by a finalist position for Orvis Lodge of the Year in 2014, and another Orvis Wingshooting Lodge of the Year award in 2015. Most recently, Greystone Castle was awarded its third Orvis Wingshooting Lodge of the Year in 2022, and nominated again in 2024. Currently, there are less than fifty Orvis-endorsed destinations worldwide, so when you choose Greystone Castle you are staying with the best.

Of course, a large factor in Greystone Castle receiving these awards was the quality of our upland bird hunts and other wingshooting opportunities, but the unique experience offered by the accommodations at the castle has by far been the biggest contributor to making Greystone Castle a standout luxury hunting lodge.

As if staying in a castle isn't enough to make you feel like royalty, our luxury accommodations, top-shelf meals, and various amenities are sure to complete the experience for you. The Castle is divided into 5 separate "lodges", comprised of two dozen spacious bedrooms plus a 2-bedroom suite. The tasteful architecture in the lodges is meant to offer guests modern comforts within a true castle atmosphere.

All of our hunting lodges are within the Castle walls and feature similarities while each having unique attributes. The two premier lodges offer a large living space and gorgeous views with a varied number of rooms, and the regular lodges are each 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. The luxury suite is a 2-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom previous owner’s lodge with full kitchen, living, and dining areas, as well as a private outdoor area.

The Dining Experience

Dining at Greystone Castle starts with your evening in the pavilion bar with mouthwatering appetizers including our world-famous 7 Spiced Crispy Quail. Over 40 high-end liquors, 15 brands of beer (including local favorite Shiner Boch) and select wines will be served by a knowledgeable bartender. Then you will be invited to the Dining Room where groups dine at private tables on fine china. Your three-course meal will feature a salad, entree, and dessert all prepared fresh by our Executive Chef. We believe fine wines enhance the dining experience and serve high-quality French Bordeaux and similar white wine to our guests.

Want to stay in the bar and watch the big game? No problem! Buffet service or plated meals are available there as well.

Before & After The Hunt

Each morning you will start your day with a traditional southern breakfast. Either fresh-made biscuits and gravy, fluffy pancakes, or crispy bacon and eggs. Want something lighter? Fresh fruit and Danish are available also.

After your morning hunt, lunch favorites include Pork loin and cheese grits, pheasant salad wraps, or the famous Buffalo burger.
