Sporting Clays & NSCA Tournaments
2021 NSCA Tournaments
Whether you are a day visitor or a guest at the Castle, Greystone Castle Sporting Clays will provide you with an outstanding sporting clays experience. We feature two professionally built courses and two covered 5 stand stations. Our courses were designed and built by 2015 National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) Champion William Walton. William remains as Head Pro and Chief Target Setter. The courses wind through the amazing topography presented by this area. We hold 10 NSCA registered target tournaments a year at Greystone. It is truly a unique setting.
Our New York Hill course winds through the rugged terrain that once housed many residents of the ghost town of Thurber, Texas. This course is set to be an enjoyable shooting experience for shooters of all levels. The Brickyard course is set on equally rugged terrain and features the over 100 year old remnants of the Thurber Brickyard factory. Brickyard is maintained as a true competition level course that challenges all comers. That terrain allows us to set target presentation not seen anywhere else in Texas.
The courses are open to the public as well as Castle guests 7 days a week, except for major holidays. We have a fleet of 10 EZ Go Clay carts available for rental. Our sporting clays clubhouse is fully equipped with rental guns, ammo, clothing and shooting supplies. Greystone Castle is also an outstanding location to host a charity or business sporting clays event.
The combination of a tournament rated sporting clays club located within a world class, Orvis rated hunting facility is unmatched. Our location one hour from downtown Fort Worth makes us convenient as well. Please feel free to call us at 254-672-5927 if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you at the Sporting Clays Club at Greystone Castle.
What to Expect
Castle guests will check in with the Pro Shop. You will be provided with your rental cart, score cards, a clip board, count-up card, and drinks. It is a short drive to the courses. Day visitors should enter through the Sporting Clays gate. That gate is approximately one- half mile south of the I-20 service road. There is a large sign beside the service road in front of New York Hill Restaurant. The entrance is a brick and steel, controlled gate with the Greystone Logo. A phone number is posted on the control box. When you call, they will provide you with that day’s entry code. It is a short drive to the Sporting Clays clubhouse. Greystone Castle uses Long Range wireless control systems. The count-up card provided will keep track of the number of targets shot and you will pay upon completion of your round.
